Welcome to my Homepage

I am a faculty member in the department of Mathematical sciences at the University of Wisconsin. I hold M.S. and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Mathematics Department of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and M.S. in Engineering from Tunisia Polytechnic School . Subsequently, after my PhD I have been previously employed at Brown University and University of Maryland as a Research Associate Scientist. Then I joined PSU university in 2014 as an assistant professor and later I have worked at Marquette University since 2017.

I have a strong performance record in research and teaching. My research interests are predominantly in the areas of applied mathematics including differential equations, mathematical modeling, scientific computing, numerical methods, fluid dynamics and porous media, inverse problem, data science, data visualization, and machine learning. I have written numerous peer-reviewed papers on challenging problems in fluid dynamics and porous media, such as stability, pattern formation, CFD and numerical simulation of interfacial flows and physical processes that take place on several spatial and temporal scales. I also taught for many years several Mathematics courses: Ordinary and partial Differential equations, Linear algebra and matrix theory, Numerical analysis, Finite Mathematics, Precalculus and Calculus.
